The construction was attacked by Cherry stones and Pigeons in June and continually eroded by rain storms and then of course the Dog. The grass grew in from the edges and the worms processed the soil depositing it above ground and created topsoil in the mountains which in turn were easily levelled; the whole installation required constant repair. Glueing only commenced at the end of the Summer when it became clear that the constant destruction was otherwise inevitable.
