Bargehouse Heyday at TNOAC Preview Party 17th November 2017 Day 3 of construction

This Royal Ensign (or ceremonial streamer) was used to decorate Henry VIII's barges. According to the Anthony Roll Inventory of 1546, (at The British Library and The Peyps Library in Cambridge) all Henry's boats, ships and also his barges bore numerous ensigns in this specific design, they varied from 13 to 53 feet in length.
Hoisted within the installation, they represent the memory of The Bargehouse Heyday.
