The head end of Henry VIII's Royal Ensign (nearest to the flagpole and the hoist) carries The St Georges Cross. The Bargehouse Heydayat TNOAC 2017 was based on extensive research of the history the site of the present day Bargehouse building. Illustrations of HenryVIII's entire fleet in The Anthony Roll Inventory of 1546 show all his vessels bedecked in numerous ceremonial streamers or ensigns in this design.
