Downwell at work on Electric House

The old clock tower and spiral staircase on the corner of Electric House once acted as a landmark in the conservation area at the junction of Willesden High Road, Walm Lane and 296 Willesden Lane NW25HZ. On the first day of demolition the Downwell demolition company used huge hydraulic shears to begin by chipping away at it.
